Ways to Save Money Immediately

Does the current economy have you worried? Let's face it, in today's world who is not concerned about their financial future? My husband and I for example, live in the Phoenix area and are raising two amazing boys. Over the past ten years we have built a solid privately owned real estate company and have watched our business double in income year after year over the past five year period only to see it dwindle to nearly no income whatsoever. So has the economy affected us? Absolutely! We have been forced into a survival mode and have seen our thoughts go from fun and loving family involvement and dreaming of our future, to how are we going to pay our bills and keep the house. Our quality of life has paid a huge price!

So is there any light at the end of the tunnel? Any hope? This crossroads led us to much research and there is some good news! We have found some unique and easy ways to save money on our existing bills and even generate some additional income as well. This good news is the reason for this article so that we can reach out and help others just like us.

The following is just a start to begin helping everyone save money in many areas of their lives. At home: Install CFL (or, even better, LED) bulbs. These might cost more initially but they have a longer life and use less electricity. At work: Find out about all the benefits of your job. Most people don't even know all the benefits available to them. Auto: Unload unnecessary weight from your car. Gas mileage will improve by 2% if you lighten the loan by 100lbs. Electronics: Recycle your electronics for free with the USPS mail back program. Mail back MP3 players, digital cameras, PDA's and inkjet cartridges for free using free envelopes & shipping found in participating post offices. Health: Cancel the gym membership and go for a walk or a jog outside in the fresh air.

There are many legitimate ways to reduce costs in many areas without having to eat mac-n-cheese every night and put on another sweater because Dad set the thermostat at 50 degrees!
